When You Are Not Looking

It’s said Life is what happens when you are not looking.  You’re carrying along your merry little way, working, raising children, helping a disabled spouse, when BAM…you’re diagnosed with breast cancer.  Five years later, I’ve beaten breast cancer, earned my MBA, and lost and am currently maintaining a 40 pound weight loss.

In this world of Twitter and Facebook and Pinterest and Tumblr, one’s thoughts can be headlines one day and passe’ less than 24 hours later, depending on what the next big news is.  I don’t promise to have all the answers.  Hell, I’m not even sure of the right questions to ask.  I just hope I can be a thoughtful and witty part of the conversation.
